This often works, but not always. If a tall pot is very fragile and soft
cover the opening carefully with a piece of newpaper in which there is a
small hole in the middle. About the diameter of a pencil. Blow gently into
that hole,you can use a straw, and quickly seal it with a piece of damp
paper. If this works you will have inflated the pot a bit, and the seal
will prevent it deflating.
