Samantha had asked about the ratio between water and glaze. It
depends on the consistency one desires, if the glaze will be applied
by brushing, dipping & pouring or spraying and the specific glaze
ingredients. When I have my students work with 100 gram glaze tests I
advise starting with a quarter cup of water, adding dry materials to
the water and letting it sit for a minute to let the water soak
through all the dry materials - easier to mix and cuts down on
chemical dust. More water is added through the screening/cleaning
process.
