Does anyone have a recipe for a cone 6 glaze called
Italian Straw?

I've checked the archives and didn't find it.

;)

I like this glaze too, but bought it from Laguna. If a recipe is available
for this, I would be interested in having it also.

Good firings,
Ann Brink in CA, happy today-unloaded my last firing before Christmas and
things turned out mostly as I'd hoped. I took a risk with a tall spaghetti
storage jar with a fancy lid. I really wanted to minimize unglazed parts,
so I fired them separately, and there was no distortion.

I have a recipe for Straw from St Johns's or Anne Arundel Community College
It is from Rick Malmgren. I haven't made it in ages, but I think it
is similar.
He has some really wonderful glazes that he has developed over the years.

Italian Straw: It is a glaze made by Laguna as the successor to Westwood
Ceramics. I use it on the rims of bowls at cone 10 and it is a good accent
glaze.
