Hey Luba, et al.

The downdraft kiln vent operates on a plain ol' electrical socket - not =
the larger voltage kind, but regular household current (what's that, =
110v?). This being the case, perhaps one of those timers you can buy =
for vacations is what you want - the kind that turns on your lamps at a =
certain time while you're gone, then turns 'em off again later.
