I have a Brent CXC on loan from a friend and it has started that nasty =
chirping for which Brents are most famous. :( Is there any way to stop =
it?

I use a parafin block to stop squeaks on my vehicles fan belts. Don't
know why it wouldn't work on the Brent CXC. Just press the block on the
pully side of the belt while it is running. Watch you hands!!

L.P. Skeen,

I would start with earplugs.

Seriously, you could try belt dressing and lubricate the head bearings.
But,in my limited experience, it is tough to completely eliminate. I am
sure that there are better minds than mine who have done it though.

Good luck,

John

Try to check the brushes inside the motor, it may need replacement, it
may be worn out.

pretty much, its belt dressing or new belts. Kind of how non asbestos brake
shoes just queek on some cars no matter what you do.
