head platters/ income question

updated wed 11 dec 02

Does anyone make head-platters to present chopped-off heads on? The tone
around here gets so intense at times, such platters might be a good idea.

HOWEVER: WHY DOES IT MATTER IF ONE SUPPORTS ONESELF AS A POTTER OR NOT?

One of us, in a dire situation, over a spiky barrel, asked whether she
could hope to persuade a judge that she could do it. Period.

From there there was swift progress into yes one can/no one can't modes,
which moved as quickly into the You Aren't A Real Potter Unless...

WOULD SOMEONE PLEASE tell me what it matters? Do show judges ask for income
tax returns? Do the galleries or shops where we propose to sell ask: Is
this your only source of income?

Who cares? Why? Really. Is it the money or the quality of the work that
matters? Are we supposedly potters or accountants?

Yes, I still will be off CLAYART as of Thursday pm...I just wanted to get
this off my chest while the iron was hot....

I think not, but it might be a novel field to enter. One would need to =
put a small extruded post in the center to keep the contents from =
rolling off. There are platters with open bowls attached to the center =
which are foisted off on us as chip and dip platters, but perhaps they =
are closet chopped-off head platters.=20

Would an oval shape be more appropriate or should we go to a nice large =
round one? Certainly it shouldn't be too shallow for obvious reasons.

Best wishes,
