Juneau on mon 2 dec 02

Hi!

DC-area clay artists may be interested in attending The Art League School's Annual Resident and Student Pottery Show and Sale, Dec. 5-7, in Old Town Alexandria. The show will feature decorative and functional pottery by 20 clay artists who study at or are residents of the Art League School. If you attend the show on Saturday
morning, stop and say hi--I'll be there helping with sales (I'm not showing, though--this is a juried show, and my work definitely isn't show-caliber yet!).

The Details...
Location: The Art League School Duke Street Annex, One Duke Street, Alexandria, VA 22314, at the intersection of Duke Street and South Union Street, two blocks south of the Torpedo Factory Art Center (note that it is NOT in the Torpedo Factory--it is 2 blocks away).

Hours: Thursday, December 5 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Friday, December 6 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturday, December 7 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Admission: Free!

15% of the proceeds go to support The Art League School.

BTW: Alexandria will be a crowded but fun place to be on Sat. Dec. 7. In addition to the Pottery Show & Sale from 10 to 6, the 32nd Annual Scottish Christmas Walk parade will begin at 10:30 (starting at Wilkes & South Pitt and ending at Wilkes & St. Asaph). And, that same evening, there will be a Lighted Boat Parade in
Alexandria, with activities beginning at 3:00 p.m. behind The Torpedo Factory Art Center (2 blocks north of the pottery show) and capped by the 2 mile parade of lighted leisure boats along the Potomac starting at 5:00.

If you're from here, maybe I'll see you there!
