I am not quite clear as to what you mean by a chuck head.
The Randall system is usualy called a bucket head and accepts special
plaster bats. Jepson Pottery in Florida who advertizes every month in CM
makes plastic adapters that will fit a Brent and take the bats (which he
also sells).

A Giffin Grip is a sort of chuck that grips the ware. Is that what you want?
A metal chuck like a lathe has would have to be made of stainless steel or
it would not last long without extra- ordinary care.

You are right. Bucket Head is another name for it. I basically need a
head that a shaped plaster bat or mold can be dropped into, and there
is enough surface area on the inside face of the rim of the bucket that
friction would hold the plaster piece in place. Jigger/jolly machines
work this way.
