Hello June
I hope Mel or Joyce will not delete the letter. I will send it to you personally too.
I have a request, easy to offer hard to do.
Please rebuild your site.
According to the names of your glazes I can see clearly that you use insight. I think
the program, forces you to make codes to the glazes otherwise you are lost. I never
knew how to make these codes and whenever I looked for a glaze I had to open many
short names I made in order to try and see what I meant when I wrote them.
I also know that in the new Insight you can give names to the glazes as a description I
think.
I sit this morning the second time: Within about two hours I succeeded to find and
copy two recipes.
In the third I broke.
and deleted all the pages I downloaded.
I think your glaze research is a treasure!
But I think it should be easy to understand
It is quit a long time I think of writing this letter. I did not want to heart your fillings so I
did not do it. Still hope you will understand my words positively:
Instead of tile one in the first row from the top you can write
June perry green or June Perry light blue
or Lana Wilson's pink: Leave the numbers to your communication with Insight.

Another point: When I am in page one trying to locate the recipe of the picture of the
tiles printed in my hand. Down the HTML page (Again the third from the top the third in
the row from left ( or right) You tell me to go back to another page and look there for
the base:(With a difficult to remember - name) Why don't you just rewrite the base?
About the tiles Cannot you put them near each glaze?
Or give the tiles numbers or links ( that blue HTML magic?) What about a lighter color
background instead this black that swallow the colors?

Ababi Sharon
Glaze addict: still want to try from page one of your ^6 glazes in the third raw from
the top the second from right and from the lowest raw the first one on the left but to
frustrated to do it! (These peach colors I always failed to achieve)

Ababi, I'll try to address all the issues you mentined:

You said "According to the names of your glazes I can see clearly that you
use insight. I think the program, forces you to make codes to the glazes
otherwise you are lost. I never knew how to make these codes and whenever I
looked for a glaze I had to open many short names I made in order to try and
see what I meant when I wrote them."

Ababi, I have no idea what you are talking about here. The materials in the
recipes are clearly statds, not in codes.

The reason I refer people to the base glaze on another page is to save
bandwidth. You only are allowed so much free memory and I want to save the
memory so I can put as much information on the site as possible. I don't
think it's too much trouble to go back and look up the glaze. It's a lot
easier than spending the hours it takes to make and fire the tests. :-)

You wrote "instead of tile one in the first row from the top you can write
June perry green or June Perry light blue or Lana Wilson's pink: Leave the
numbers to your communication with Insight."

Those numbers are not for insight. Those are for my own files. They are also
for reference so if someone writes me, I can quickly find the source glaze
and help them with alterations, questions, etc. It wouldn't be any use to use
names like "June Perry Light Blue", etc. I have well over 8,.000 glaze
recipes at last count and the numbering system is the quickest way for me to
find the recipes.

I don't know what you mean about black background. My background is a teal
green!

And lastly, these days I have my hands full caring for my 86 years old mother
who is terminally ill, and who in the past two weeks has become totally
bedridden and I frankly don't have the time or the inclination to delve into
the more refined and more complex issues of web page design. Perhaps at
another time I will be so inclined.

Regards,
June Perry
