I'm going to Costa Rica mid February for a few weeks and would like to find
a place where i can work or perhaps do a workshop, as well as visit
studios.... anybody have any suggestions, recommendations etc....? I'll be
in the area around Quepos as well as Monteverde and will have access to a
car... any suggestions, recommendations... must do's would be greatly
appreciated.
thanks for the input! bev

Bev,

Here is my recommendation for a Costa Rica must do:

While in Montiverde area... Do go on those zip lines through the
canopy. Sounds scary, but was not. I promise you it is the thrill of a
lifetime. Zipping along over and through the rainforest 100 - 500 feet
up. Some cables are over 1700 feet long. It felt like living an IMAX
movie. Worst part was the steps up. Once we were up that stairway, the
rest was fun. The rides were great. Very secure. None of my kids were
frightened at all. They've never had anyone injured though. =20

Such a ride would NEVER be possible in the US. =20

The roads up to Montiverde are quite a surprise. That ride is probably
more dangerous than the zip lines...

BTW... I'd also recommend you leave San Jose as soon as possible once
you arrive. Lake Arenal and the Arenal Volcano are interesting to see,
if you pass that way.

Have fun. It is a great country to visit. People are very friendly.
