Tomorrow I am getting a lovely new L & L kiln complete with computer
controller, vent and 3" bricks and can hardly wait. But I have been using
a Duncan EA820 electric kiln and it has to go, I don't have enough room to
keep it. The kiln is rated to cone 8 and I assume it would go to that but
I have not used it past cone 6. The kiln comes with kiln sitter (sorry no
computer control), shelves, posts and operating manual. The bricks and
elements are in good shape but the lid is slightly damaged. The inside
dimensions are approximately 19" deep and 18" diameter. The kiln is
operational but I think the electric control switch may need to be replaced
or adjusted. I think this because when the switch is turned to the first
stop (Low?) it seems to heat up too fast. If the kiln sitter has a
pyrometric cone in it and I press the "On" button while the control is set
on "Off" the kiln goes on and warms up gently - I have been using this as
my "Low" setting. Anyway, if you followed all of that, the price is $150
and you will have to pick it up, I really don't want to be packing it up
and shipping it anywhere.
