Hello all,

My friend has been looking for a formula for "Alfred Blue" suitable for cone
10 reduction firing. Can anyone help?

Many thanks,
Robert

I checked my glaze database and this is the only Alfred blue glaze that came
up. It's lists several color variations.
I rant this through IMC softare version 5 and it's within C10 limits, but a
little low on silica and alumina for C10 copper limits. If you up the EPK to
20.7 and the silica to 33.2 it brings it up to C10copper limits, keeping the
Silica:Alumina ratio pretty close (Original is 7.61, Revised for C10 copper
limits is 7.58), and giving a better rate of expansion by lowering the
expansion to 7.17 (orginal has expansion of 7.36)

Hello June,
Thanks so much for the information on the Alfred Blue. My friend has
been looking for months for this, and now she has it, with all of the
suggestions for adjustment. She's going to mix up a batch today, and
see what happens.
Quite a happy person today!
Best,
Robert
