potters' glazes

Kay Howard & Phil Chaban on wed 23 oct 02

(yeah--this is my seventh message--I'm getting caught up)

Here is a new thought--Phil "the engineer" claims that there are some =
glazes which we--the potters--get all excited about, but no one =
else--the potential customers--really understands, or even likes. So =
what do you think? As a prime example, I have a largish leaf bowl that =
has a blush of raspberry on it, proclaimed by another potter to be "the =
most beautiful blah blah blah" but is quickly becoming a mascot due to =
its presence at so many subsequent shows. It's conventional wisdom =
around here that if I love it, it will never sell--if I say yuck--gone. =
What say you? I'll bet there are some funny stories to be told.=20
