Got to NYTimes .com and look for the article on the dispute ,in a
Catskill town , between second-home people and local artist who fires
wood.

Almost classical example of culture clash.

Hi,
I looked up the article. You should be able to read it at:
http://www.nytimes.com/2002/10/19/nyregion/19CATS.html?pagewanted=1
This is sad. Naturally I side with the potter, though if I lived next
door and was suddenly breathing lots of smoke I might feel differently. The
thing is that Beecher fires so infrequently and has offered to do so on a
schedule that won't bother the part-time residents adjacent to her home and
her new $30,000 kiln.

Two ancient electric kilns. Both outside.
It never rains here at the Mexican border.
One partner, one kid, three cats. All inside.
