This is the time of year with the best smells. Wet earth, decaying leaves,
woodsmoke--fruitcake and spiced cookies....

AND "everyone" is making stuff as gifts. Ah, that lovely plate under a
lovely, bourbon drenched fruitcake!

HOWEVER. All too often the plate on which the fruitcake was is too big for
the kitchen cabinet. The lovely topf for the Rhumtopf too tall for the
cabinet. The set of mugs will not hang from a "normal" mug tree, or whatever
those things are called.

Hi to a proper store, one of those mega-harware or kitchn furnishing emporia
and pick up some brochures of cabinets. They have then inner dimensions
printed nice and clear. Refer to that before you plan. And allow an extra
half inch ( a centimeter to you Metrics) extra because shelves all too often
are a bit warped (on old cabinets) or the doors out of line.

I KNOW WE ALL DESERVE TO HAVE OUT PLATES ETC DISPLAYED AT ALL TIMES SMACK IN
THE LIVING ROOM....BUT
