I have just had a wonderful firing with Ron Roy's Black no 3 on a pot and
Waterful Brown on the rim. Dark, secretive pot. Fascinating. ON a bigggg
pot, oh wow!

I have also had (some) success with John Post's version of Cream Breaking
Red - it has a wonderful, buttery feel, but just too darn many speckles and
almost no red on the rim - too thick? too much iron?
And your suggestion to try it with Berry Rust near the bottom of the pot -
ho yes, Cream Breaking Red on top of Berry Rust is a wonderful red.

And John Hesselbeth and Ron Roy's Majolica is a lovely white glaze. It takes
underglaze painted on top beautifully.
Even on its own it is a lovely white - clean looking without being cold.

Thank you to everyone.
