Anyone interested in a saddle seat checkout IKEA
http://www.ikea-usa.com/product_presentation/subcat.asp?id=445
I saw them last month... am still contemplating it.
I thought the price quite reasonable.

I have a "kneeling chair".
I don't use it to throw but...
I used it to sit at the table, eat, read, and write for a few years
...until my back settled down.

Using such while throwing a chair sound possible.
The chairs are usually adjustable in one way or another for height.

One thing for me...
I have a Creative Industries potter's chair...
it's not perfect, but...
it's great for its saddle seat, and the gas cylinder height adjuster.
I have to put a lumbar roll below the bottom edge of the seat back.
I like to center seated high and pull seated low.

I tried out this Traktor seat chair the last time I was at Ikea. Wanted to
buy it right away, but they were out. Apparently this is one of their
hottest new items. I thought it was terrific...the only down side is that
you have to get up to adjust the height. All of us who loved the Randall
wheel tractor seat will enjoy this chair.
