craft show quandry

Hi Cheryl--Although others will disagree, I say go for it. Every show =
adds to your experience and gives you feed-back on your pots and the =
public. If the 20,000 figure is accurate (sometimes a big "If"!) that's =
a decent sample. My first show (9 years ago) was a similar event, $100 =
booth fee, an antique car show, beauty pagent, and by the way a craft =
show. My display was a banquet table, card table and hanging pots on a =
coat rack. I made my booth fee and learned a lot about my pots from the =
reactions of passers-by (obviously not too many stopped to buy) and I =
learned what it felt like to "put myself out there" without spending a =
lot of money. So good luck if you decide to do it. (I don't want to =
start that thread again either! but it certainly made me think about my =
marketing methods.) Time to glaze--St. James Court/3rd Street this =
week-end. =20

Arbor, 45 minutes south of East Lansing) Anybody else going to be in =
Louisvile this week-end? We'll be on third street. See you there Dave E =
and Kathy--Chinese again?

Dear Kay & All Others,

I will be at St. James (SJ507N). This is in St. James itself and right in
front of where the artists sign up, at the Conrad House, Fox Hollow Pottery.

It would be SO nice to see any and all of you. Also, I could accommodate
sleeping quarters; one in my loft and one on my futon, for any who might
need it. Have 8 dogs and live in my studio, 200 year old log cabin in a 100
acre hollow in the woods.
