hi lisa,
i got my venco de-airing pug about a year and a half ago and adore it
but it does take up quite a bit of space. i have it on it's own table
with wheels. the vacuum pump rests on a lower shelf on the table and
the whole ensemble takes up about a 4' by 5' space.

for the amount of clay you recycle right now, i think it may be a little
more than you need. i pug about 75-100 pounds a week, all scrap clay...
i don't mix any of my own.
i have dozens of buckets of slop that i am slowly making my way through.

hope this helps.

The Venco 3 inch is ideal for a small studio.
If you have need for larger amounts of clay, go to the 4 inch.

All pugmills need regular cleaning. With the Venco you need to take out all
the bolts to the barrels, drop off both halves of the barrel. Then pull a
clip off the screen and thoroughly wash the screen. Just before the screen
you will find all those odd little things which you had "lost" during the
last month or two.
