Hi to all from San Antonio.
Over the past 20+ years of collecting books on pottery and ceramics,
the subject on the list sent in by Chris Schafale on 9/18/02 on making a mold
for a mold, reminded me of an article I read in the Readers Digest ' CRAFTS &
HOBBIES', A STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE TO CREATIVE SKILLS. 1979. On page 317 it
shows how to make a mold for making tiles and mosaic projects.
The book has hundreds of crafts and how-to instructions (with
pictures) that will really get your juices flowing, but most importantly it
has almost 50 pages devoted to pottery and 17 pages to modeling, moldmaking,
and casting sculpture. I am sure it is still available through your local
book store, or by writing directly to Readers Digest. PS. I am in no way
connected to RD.)
