Dear Karl Platt,=20

Perhaps the most important point you make is that there is a literature =
base to be searched and though it may take time and effort and a degree =
of discrimination in selecting the articles to read it can be worthwhile =
and rewarding. More Clayart subscribers should do it.

A lot has been made of the need for a Potters Council. I have yet to =
read of anyone saying how beneficial it was to them in gaining access to =
AcerS archives. But I have read several posts speaking of the financial =
discounts for real estate, health cover, dental and financial services. =
I think these are an iniquity because in the end other users pay extra =
for the service they get from the trade in this way to that principles =
of the companies which offer these discounts have to make a profit.

Perhaps if I joined the Potters Council I might benefit from the 20% =
discount offered on AcerS products. At the moment I pay US$15 for =
offprints which costs me almost $30 via Visa. But the information I get =
is invaluable so I have no argument with the system. Fortunately, our =
State Library has copies of Transactions and Bulletin from the early =
1920s so I get the newer ones at no direct cost.

I enjoyed reading your response.

Best regards,

Ivor Lewis.
