Karen:

Perhaps the best way to raise funds for Clay It Forward would be to have
collection containers in the ClayArt Room with names of prominent members on
them. People donate to their "favorite" member. On the last evening, the
"votes" are counted, and the member with the most votes is STUCK with the
plate until next year, when the process repeats. That way, the plate will
never go away (like a good MIL) and will be a continuing benefit to both fun
and Clay It Forward.

Alan

P.S. Since it was my idea, I hereby excuse myself from the competition....

The blue phenomenon is alive and well in Canada. My ex was here for a visit
last week and actually asked to have a look in the studio (he doesn't like
anything 'handmade')
He actually seemed to like some pieces, and decided he'd like a blue
pitcher; but not glazed with the Ron Roy/John hesselberth variegated slate
blue that I have made. He wants "something lighter and softer without the
messy streaks and stuff"
