Hello Everyone,

I recently came across a piece of ceramic by Janet Leach, a wife of Bernard
Leach. It is a simple bowl made of a dark stonewear, with a light grey-clear
glaze that covers the inside and goes about 3/4 of the way down the sides.
It has the St. Ives as well as the mark of Janet Leach.
My question is, does anyone have any idea what it may be worth from a
collectable standpoint?
Did she do work in America?
I would imagine that if the piece has the St. Ives mark, that it was made in
England.

It should have been made at St. Ives if it has the St. Ives mark on it.
It is certainly "collectable" from the standpoint of other potters,
getting to the actual value is the hard part. I would suggest trying to
find comparable items on the web or elsewhere and comparing the price.
Perhaps one of our British potters might have a better idea.
