g200 vs custer feldspar

Have any of you noticed differences in glazes using G200 vs Custer
Feldspar?

I have a dark temmoku/teadust which came out with a lot more teadust
with custer than G200. I refired a bowl glazed half with one and half
the other just to make sure it was not a difference in firing. I am
about to go through my calculations again but I can't see that much
difference between the two feldspars. I am starting to wonder if I made
some error in mixing but I am resonably sure I did not.

Cheers!

Hi Linda - I have looked at a glaze with 50% spar and compared with G200
and Custer and can't see enough diff to think it would matter - trouble is
I don't know what the analysis for your Custer is - there was a blip in
their quality control a few years back - I wonder if that is a factor.

I do know that MgO is a factor in Tea Dust - perhaps there is a clue there.
