A l'attention de Philip,

It is one of the many ways to explore to improve and better know the comp=
lex
mechanisms of crystalline glazes. I have not carried out this type of tes=
t
yet,
but I currently make tests on frits.

It would seem that for certain frits, a washing by prolonged contact
with water (several days) makes it possible to get rid of the soluble par=
t
containing the alkali. After rinsing and drying of the crushed frit one
obtains
a rather stable product which offers good conservation of glaze
preparations.

Cordially, Smart.
