insight wt/ winxp?

Are any of you running Insight with Windows XP? I am running into some
strange problems with it and I am not sure if it is XP (quite likely!)
or insight. It runs fine under Win2000 but when I try it on a XP machine
it either crashes on save or print or now with the latest version it
doesn't save at all just sits there and acts like it is....

Cheers!

Linda,

Windows XP has a useful feature that you can use in situations such as
you describe. XP will run any program in a "compatibility mode" of your
chosing. =20

Right click on your shortcut to Insight and go to the Compatability tab
and select the option to run the program in compatibility mode for
Windows 2000. XP will then setup several environment variables just as
if the program were running on a Windows 2000 box. I don't know if this
will help for Insight, but this feature has helped me run many of my
kids' older games that were designed for W95 on my XP workstation.

There is also a "Program Compatibility Wizard" you can run, if you
prefer not to make the changes manually. Look up compatibility in the
Windows XP Help.

good luck...

I can run Insight under Windows XP Professional V 5.1. Works fine. Try
reinstalling it. Some file probably got lost or corrupted.

It is possible that it works with windows XP on a FAT32 formatted drive,
but not a NTFS formatted drive...Just an idea, otherwise, if it works
for one person, it should work for you, try running it in a
compatability mode.
