I am looking to buy wine glass tops for the stems that I am making. I looked through the archives and didnt find exactly what I was looking for. If anyone can point me to websites in which I can purchase these glass tops, that would be great.
Thanks,
Barbara

Barbara,

Unless they stopped carrying them, you can get them from Aftosa.

I just go to the dollar store and buy the whole wine glass there. Saves lots
of bucks and they have a good assortment of styles and different colors. Take
a trusty hammer and knock off most of the stem (leaving about 1/2") and
bottom. Then I use a grinder to smooth off the end. When I throw the bottoms,
I make the hole which the stem (with glue around it) slightly larger (to
allow for the shinkage.) I put most of the glue around the stem. This way
when I glue the top onto the base, I don't end up with an ugly glop at the
bottom of the glass bowl where it meets the base.
