That's like saying a kiln isn't hot because it's cooler than the
Sun!

England may be drier than the Pacific Northest, but I'm still a
desert rat, and they're both much, much wetter than anyplace I've
ever lived while doing clay. It's got to make a big difference in
drying processes, going from 10-30% humidity around here to 70-90%
in other places!
