Dear J. Lutz,
I have always found it easier to wipe a clean line of glaze away with a =
sponge than to dip a footring. If you muck up a wax foot you need to =
rebisque, if you muck up a glazed foot you can wash it all off and =
reglaze when completely dry.
Try dipping the footring in water immediatly before applying the glaze. =
It saturates the clay and therefore it absorbs barely any glaze. V. =
economical. With all due respect and admiration to Takeshi Yasuda who's =
tip this is.
Best Wishes
Pat.
