pucker gallery in boston

I just had the pleasure of visiting the Pucker Gallery in Boston on =
Newbury Street. It is a marvelous place with works by such well know =
potters as Shimaoka Tatsutzo, Phil Rogers, Brother Thomas, and a great =
selection of African pottery. They also have paintings, sculpture, and =
furniture pieces. And the best part about it is:

THEY LET YOU PICK UP AND TOUCH EVERYTHING!!!

How often will I have the opportunity to pick up a $9,000 vase by =
Brother Thomas or a $5,000 serving dish by Shimaoka Tatsutzo? Phil =
Rogers works are more accessible because of his workshops and his =
accessibility but being able to see a large variety of his work and to =
hold it was a treat. I can't say enough about the gallery staff who were =
all extremely gracious, helpful, and downright nice. If you are in =
Boston take the time to visit the Pucker. There's no admission charge as =
all the work is for sale so it makes it a great experience for any =
artist.

By the way, it is two blocks down from the Tokai Gallery where John =
Baymore has his wonderful woodfired work -- first time they've had =
American potters in this place from what I understand because they get =
all their work from Japan. His exhibit was wonderful and gives the =
viewer a sense of John's accomplished work.=20

Wish I lived back in Boston....it's been 20 years and I still miss it...
