I had bought 50lbs of G.B. for raku, because it was available. I had always
used "ready raku" of 80 G.B. and 20 Neph. Sye.

Recently I found that my G.B. was damp and did not melt until I added a
flux, which was a borax frit.

However, I use the Danish tried and true recipe now anyway, and it is
80 Borax Frit and 20 Ball Clay. This a transparent (milky) crackle, very
fast melting. The melting temp. of the Frit is 760c.

I does not settle and you can color it with anything. I am very satisfied
with it. If you want a specific list of colorants, I will send it. It is
also a very good glaze over colored slips.
