Hi folks,
I don't know how to get my life back on track and am terribly overwhelmed by
clutter and have so much to do I often am stymied where to start on what and
seem to have so amny both personal and professional "priororities" that some
days even after working stradily i almost feel I'm not on the best track and
have a hard time making any long term committtments since the last thing I
want to do is be in a position of not being able to deliver on promises and
committments. The thing is I'm a one person operation but am also on a high
maintainance property [6 acres with plenty of buildings and growing stuff
including a small garden] with family life that includes hubby and grown
children and am a grandmother and feel it is important to drop everything
when and if I am needed to spend time for them, which is not too often.
I know there are planty of you who have all these damands on your time and
attention and I am wondering if there is anything online, in a readily
available book or article on a system that works for you or a flow chart or
other type system that you use to guide you toward what you intend to
accomplish?
So how do you get it all together??
I'm trying to get a kiln deconstructed and rebuilt and setup and run glaze
tests and I have a lot of elements to bring off to make it happen some that
will depend on others and to bring this together to become productive for
the fall season I realize more organizational savy could help here. I need
to also be flexible to offset for the stuff that will inevitible
interruptions that come with family life. Anyone struggled with this and feel
you have solved this in a way that others could learn from your example?
I may be too late in the game to really think I CAN EVER GET THIS BACK IN
ORDER AGAIN????

Misty....
Here's the thing that worked for me...there is a website http://flylady.net
which has helped me begin the laborious process of getting into habits which
help me think in an organized way about my clutter. It's a system that
builds organizational habits in little increments. It's not an overnight
solution, but it is a way to stop being overwhelmed and do a little at a
time...which eventually adds up to a big solution. Look at the site and
see what you think. It's done amazing things for me.

Hi Misty,
I have mentionned www.Flylady.net before - the focus is on getting
control of chaos and clutter in the home but there is no reason not to apply
the system to a sprawling property and a clay studio. I have learned alot
from the flylady about the value of routine and of making visible changes in
little spurts - most of her work is done in 15 minute sprints using a timer.
Maybe you will like her style. I enjoy her subscribers testimonials to how
their lives have been changed - hard to believe that a little clutter
control could cause such serious metamorphosis in attitudes.
Best wishes in finding your Way.
