I'm continuing to work with the simple, 1"
thick slab, square bud vases, about which we posted a week or so ago. =
I'm employing Chris's beautiful paddles ..... plain on one side (if such =
beauty can be thought of as "plain"), and carved on the other to serve =
for imprinting pattern on clay ...... I'm using many different =
decorative ideas gleaned from clayarters .... but the paddled vases =
(sort of thick tiles which stand on end) are the most elegant in the =
non-bisqued form.

In the Mojave where, Janet, love, summer has indeed arriven ...... went =
out with the westie at 8 p.m. "to water," one of her most intense joys =
..... temp had dropped below 100 F.... finally ..... felt almost cool.
