Hi to all,

I have the olympic kiln burning away....will advise you of the
firing.  Thanks to all that have helped me understand.

I have another request.  Somewhere on this net I found a cone 6
mushroom glaze.  It is supposedly mushroom in color.  I have spent
a good part of the afternoon looking for this glaze....and I have been
unsuccessful.  Does anyone have it to share?  and if you
do...please tell me how it turned out.  Thank you,
Marie

I used Google and entered mushroom glaze clayart and got the most amazing
list of glazes. There was one called Cream of Mushroom which was as
follows:

CREAM OF MUSHROOM (^6 OX)

spodumene...10.66
Neph sy.....40.67
whiting.....09.62
flint.......23.34
Gerstley B..07.55
Dolomite....04.81
Zinc Ox.....03.35
add: 4% Rutile, 1% iron oxide,
1.52% Bentonite, 10.15% Zircopax
from Dan Saultman Clay-Art@concentric.net

I have had no experience with this glaze but perhaps it is what you are
looking for.
I hope this is helpful to you.
