There have been some recent postings to the list regarding "which electric
wheel to buy?" Not to strut my stuff.....but.........

I just completed a very in depth, hands on review of the electric wheel
marketplace which will be published in the over the summer issue of the
Potters Guide from Pottery Making Illustrated.

So have patience. The manuscript and its documentation is complete and on
its way the Bill Jones.

BTW, we did a great job!! 34 wheels...40 hardworking potters......I am sure
that everyone on this list will benefit from this survey and review.

I feel a little embarrassed for writing.  I haven't did pottery
since High School and my 30 year reunion is this year!!  However, it
has always been my secret love.  I'm a high school history teacher and
would really like to enjoy clay again.  I have been "listening" for
several months now have really admired you.  You are all so
knowlegeable and I have been learning so much just listening.

I would like to buy a wheel.  When I did potter 30 years ago, I used
a treadle wheel in a pottery class at the YMCA in Buffalo, NY.  I
really liked it.  So quite and peaceful.  The seat was quite large
and elevated.  I don't know if it was homemade or manufactured.  I
would really like to buy a treadle wheel.  I have no machanical ability
to put it together, so a kit is not an option.  I live in Palmer,
Alaska so I'm sure it will cost a lot in shipping.  Do you have any
suggestions on treadle wheel?
