I wonder if anyone can help me out here.
I'm desperately looking for a recipe which appeared in Ceramics
monthly last spring I think maybe Feb, March or may 2001. I seem to
have lent out a couple of volumes and of course can't find the one i
need.
It is a Raku recipe called Tomatsu or something close to that
spelling. It is a lovely recipe. If anyone has it and could email me
directly that would be superb! Thanks all

G'Day Bev,

Don't know if this is what you are looking for.
I know not from whence it came nor have I tried it.

Naturaly you will need an alternative for Gerstley B.
Fire till it shows shiny through the spy-hole. Dont go too high or it will
surely melt and run.

"Tomats Red."

Gerstley Borate 50
Borax 50
Copper Oxide 20%
Red Iron Oxide 5%

Is it Tomats Red?
The recipe is from CM, cannot remember when.
It is
50 Gerstely Borate
50 Borax
3% Copper ox.
3% Cobalt ox.

I got a lot of blue, but I probably needed to use it thicker.
