Art History: Art Historian, University of Texas of the Permian Basin. One
year visiting position beginning fall 2002, to be replaced with tenure track
position beginning fall 2003. We are seeking a generalist who is capable of
teaching art appreciation, art history survey, upper-level courses and some
non-western survey classes. Candidate may also teach courses in his/her area
of expertise. Ph.D. or ABD required, teaching at the university level
desired. Applications from candidates with interest or experience in
Web-based instruction and /or Discipline-Based Art Education are especially
welcome. Appointment begins August 21, 2002. A component of the University
of Texas System, UTPB serves a geographically large and ethnically diverse
area of West Texas. The Art Department's new building has a state of the
arts lecture facility, studios and gallery, The Nancy Fyfe Cardozier Gallery
features changing exhibitions dedicated to educational arts programming.
