tumble stacking in wood kiln & single fire

Hello,

I will be tumble stacking for the first time because I need to get many pots
in my kiln for a gallery exhibition and art fair.

I am looking for any tips with respect to stacking two or more large
platters or bowls (18" and up) face to face or nested, placement of foot
ring, wadding, green coils to allow large footring movement, etc.

I am mainly concerned about the slumping of one platter or bowl into
another. I was thinking of putting a flashing slip on the bottom platter
and then a glazed plate on top or unglazed rims face to face. I am
concerned about heat distribution, even heating, etc. I fire from start to
finish with a candle overnight in about 24 to 30 hours when I fire by
myself.

All the work will be single fired and is stoneware and porcelain. Any
suggestions are appreciated. Trying to increase my odds of success here.

Thank you.
