laguna's current analysis for gerstley borate

I just received an email from Rosanne at Axners. Laguna sent her the current
formula for Gerstley and it's the one from 1993 which she had sent me
earlier.

They said they are using the same mine and the calculations and formulas
have
not changed. They reported not having any quality issues and predict that
the
mine will be closed at the end of the year for good.

The paper Rosanne faxed me is from August 1, 1993, which Laguna says is the
current formula, says:

This product is composed of a mixture of the minerals Colemanite and
Ulexite.
This material contains approximately 28.0% Boric Oxide (B2O3), 5.3% Sodium
Oxide (Na2O), 20.6 Calcium oxide (CaO) and 25% water of crystallization.

Since later (1997) figures have been posted, I think, either Laguna is just
sending out old information, or this latest batch has the composition they
say.

Has anyone done side by side melts of an old batch of gerstley and the
latest
material? I had an old one but gave those away when we moved cross country.
