Fav Glazes ^10 Red. Joyce asked about white or cream glazes.. I tried
several, including Vivika Heino’s matt and Conrad’s matt…. The first two
were my favorites from the series. The last is a new one I'll be using
(with variations) a lot for food-safe ware and other things.... Don't
remember where I got the basics on it.

Haven’t tried this as a plain white glaze yet; would add zircopax or
tin, 6-7%. I’ve tried it with colors (.3 cobalt carb, .9875% chrome,
.75% yellow iron oxide). This gave a rich green which tested below .02
mg for both cobalt and chrome and I am very comfortable selling that as
a safe glaze. It feels good too, especially since I’ve been trying that
wonderful one hour pause at 1000° on the cooling cycle!
