Takes colors wonderfully and is a lovely white. When I first tried it =

sat with the test piece in my hand for a hour because it is so smooth. =

I posted Chris with this question, but then realized that others may =
want the answer, also. So....... what is the cone, Chris?
And .... oxidation or reduction? I may have missed something that would =
have answered this for me but I can't see it.
I'm experimenting trying to find a better
white and a cream for ^10 reduction, but so far I haven't found one I =
really like for the work I'm doing.

Thank you, Chris.

I looked on Digital Fires web site and I believe this is the Silky White
Cone 10 Glaze which Chris is speaking (writing) about
http://www.digitalfire.com/recipes/g2571a.htm

I think it is OK for Ox and Red but don't trust me on that, I am barely
literate.

I suspect that the feel of this glaze requires Cone 10, does anyone have any
help for us lurking newbies about this. I currently fire at ^6 but I would
consider switching to ^10 just because of this glaze. I will be trying the
semimatte glazes in Ron/John's "Mastering ... ^6 Glazes" also.

Also, there is a small amount of Gerstley Borate in the formula, does anyone
have any ideas for a good substitute. On the site referenced above, there
is a link to information about substitutions for GB. I would prefer to use
a Frit (3134?) but am not too knowledgeable about other tweaking necessary.

Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you
