electric kilnsitter on gas kiln

Okay, it definitely is a kilnsitter, but does that
make Earl's earlier statement about shutting off the
propane if the pilot light goes out untrue? If it
shuts it off, that would be a reason to keep it. It
isn't a big deal, I can run an extension cord instead
of hiring an electrician, and the solenoid valve is
attached pretty well, so maybe I don't need to break
the kiln before I even fire it. It was just an
unexpected, unwanted addition, but I can certainly
live with it. I can always ditch it later, right?
Thanks all! Jules
