Dear mel jacobson=20

I do not recall saying that liner glazes should be brilliant, clinical =
white. Nor so far have I read a message on the recent discussion which =
extols the virtue of such a finish.

But if you insist on preferences, I like and have used the style of Seth =
Cardew. When decorating teapots with underglaze slips he strokes a motif =
in the base of the pot and under the lid. As Seth says, "something of =
interest for the person who is left with the washing up after the party =
is over."

Go for a durable non toxic surface and let your imagination have free =
play.

Best regards,

Ivor
