I usually rough cut the brick down with a regular saw. Any tweeking, I =
have a cement block handy and just rub the soft brick over the flat end =
of the cement block once or twice. I am doing this outside and not =
breathing in the dust. Relax.....

There is a new better tool for trimming soft brick. It is found in most
major hardware stores (Lows, Builder Square, Home Depo) found in the dry wall
tools. It is a block of wood with expanded metal on one surface used to trim
the edges of dry wall board. Works great and it is cheap. Also there is a
wide thick bladed short hand saw also used on dry wall. Lasts 4 times as
long as the cheap regular saws to cut soft brick.
