So if one was going to go to another area to sell at
some market or gallery or what have you ... How or
where would they start to figure out what price range
there is in that area???

A friend of mine, who stopped pottery back in the 80's, used to take a li=
st
of staple grocery items and their local prices with her when she did a
show...she would shop around in the local markets (not the big chain stor=
es)
and compare the prices. She said that this would be a true indicator of =
the
economic strength of the area. This allowed her to keep her pots priced
fairly in line with what others in the area were getting, without actuall=
y
copying any of the other artists prices.
