About the Jurors

John Goodheart, Ceramics Professor at the School of Fine Arts at Indiana
University since 1973, grounds his work within the rich historical contest
of traditional pottery, but imbues it with a contemporary language. His
colleague, Georgia Strange, is an Associate Professor at Indiana and has
recently served as Interim Director of the Art Department. Trained as a
sculptor, she uses materials as a logical physical manifestation of ideas,
choosing to work with clay for its metaphoric associations and its
malleability. Together, these two jurors will provide a creative framework
equal to the diverse talents of our participants.
