Hi folks,
Thank you to all who replied with suggestions and concern after my request
for a sub. In the end, I worked it out with the conference organizers and
will get a refund despite their "no refunds" policy. FYI, when I talked to
them, they were not yet quite sold out, so if anyone is interested, contact
