 Sorry, it's not some technical term...... just a brand name of some retail lowfire (^04) glazes. Many of those lowfire type glazes can give good/interesting results (for non-functional works) when you break the rules and use them at other temperatures. I always look for the ones without lead that say food safe. However,they should not be used for functional ware unless you follow the application and firing directions on the jar. Ah yes...Those little jars;-)

thanks to one and all who emailed responses to that - i'd guessed they were
commercial, but wasn't sure what temperature. and now I know they are the
little jars, I think I know where I can get them. I "paint" local sea
scapes on my raku clocks - it's ok using different thicknesses of glaze to
vary tone - as well as mixing my own - but a palette of detail colours would
be great.
