Anybody know the title of the Shoji Hamada Tea bowl book? It is in Japanese.
I borrowed it from a friend (Xeroxed my favorite teabowls) but would like to
find a real copy. There was one (used) at our local Mashiko book/stationary
store about 2 years ago, but they were asking about $250.00 and I didn't have it
at the time.

" Characteristic of the linear vision is the idea that anything is justifiable
only insofar as it is immediately and obviously good for something else. The
linear vision tends o look upon everything as a cause, and to require that it
proceed directly and immediately and obviously to its effect. What is it good
for? we ask. And only if it proves immediately to be good for something are we
ready to raise the question of value: How much is it worth? But we mean how
much money, for if it can only be good for something else then obviously it can
only be worth something else. " , Full Quote:

Lee: try www. Powells.com. They have a system that allows you to put in
the title of a book you are looking for and if it comes in, they email you.
Pretty groovy. It has worked well for me.
