Hi Dan!

Welcome to the world of Kodak processing errors! As a person who has used a
number of different processors, and different retailers with ties to Kodak
and Fuji's distant photo-finishers, I can attest to the variations of
quality, even in a batch of film that was sent out simultaneously.

The in-store photo services are even a bigger dillemma, since the folks
operating the machines may be depending on very little training, to
accurately finish one's photographs.

My suggestion, for future reference, is to ask around (photographers,
college photo instructors, or others who require high-quality
photo-finishing), and find a high-quality processing company in your local
area.

Since the images on a Photo CD are dependent on the quality of the finished
product (the negs are scanned, after processing), go to a high-quality
processer for the best results. It may cost a few bucks more than the
drugstore, but then your presentation depends on excellent quality.

Caveat emptor!

Happy Holidays from the Mojave Desert!
